End of Watch (dir. David Ayer, 2012)

Very good violent, hard, and honest film. There is a lot of truth in this movie. The violent streets of urban/ethnic neighborhoods in Los Angeles shown from the point-of-view of two L.A. cops—one white, one Mexican.

At times the handheld style is too much to take but after a while I got used to it. The style actually fits well with the story arc.

I think this is a grand movie with a lot of heart. It shows a great friendship and love. Everyone should take a look at it regardless of the genre or where you’re from because stories like this can happen to anyone and the film depicts that.
